BASIC RULES FOR KEEPING A LAB NOTEBOOK
ALWAYS write in blue or black pen. Gel ink preferred (does not dissolve in most liquids).
Colors can be used for diagrams and drawings.
NEVER use white-out. Cross out mistake with single line, then initial.
Draw a single line through any large open areas to prevent possible last-minute "additions" by other people
Staple or tape all graphs, charts, and pictures. DO NOT use glue.
Indicate which pages the lab continues on to.
Sign your name and date when you complete the lab. If you get a peer review, have them sign and date your lab book.
